I hid so well:
Like Alice in wonder land,
Like the three little pigs from the big bad wolf
Under the umbrella of my insecurities
And in the muscles of my manhood.
I display to the world “Im good.”
I painted it so well:
With designer brushes and quality paints
I painted an image of myself that puts Da Vinci to shame.
In the architecture of my worried mind
I locked myself in the Sistine Chapel of philanthropy
Popularity covered my life without a family.
Hidden like the tear drop dissolving between the lines on a face
My self-made confidence covered my stench.
The praises of men perfected my walk
And pride puffed up my chest.
Unseen, Unseen, I thought I was invisible, not seen.
Answer me God, how-did- you- find- me?
“My Son, I never lost you.”
Hebrew 4:13 “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”
Proverbs 5:21 “For your ways are in full view of the Lord, and He examines all your paths.”
Psalms 33:14 “From His dwelling place He watches all who live on earth. He who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do.”
