A Living Sacrifice

Let me be.
Let me be the place where your presence dwells.
I wanna be:
Your temple, your sanctuary.
I present my body as a living altar stained by your blood.
Let my life honors your words and my heart sings your song.

I wanna be:
Your holy ground, your church.
Let my knees bend before you, daily
And my bones be consecrated by your flames.
Let my lungs be like the Upper-room shouting your praise.
I present my shoulders as bearers of your cross.
Let your yoke steer the direction of my neck
So that my soul finds rest in your peace.

Let my life be yours completely.
Let my conversations not only tell of your glory
But also testify of what you have done in my story.
Oh that my lips would honor you,
And my heart be tied to your altar
Then my lungs will preach of your sovereignty.

I command my body to be seated at your table.
My career, my passion and talents
I command them to serve you.
I submit my emotions and responses to you.
My accomplishments, my success I give back to you.
With your left hand break me into pieces like a loaf of bread.
Like meals on wheels—
Let me feed your people.
I am available; I am your living sacrifice.

Scripture Support: Roman 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
