No Weapon

God is the maker of the blacksmith
Who forges weapons of destruction.
He is the fire that melts the iron.
His feet are the blacksmith’s anvil
And His right hand is the hammer
That shapes the hot iron before it cools.
God oversees the hands of the smith.
As the designer of the blacksmith’s ideas
God is knowledgeable on all weapons,
Finished and unfinished.
He is Jehovah Gibbor, A God mighty in battle.
He will fight against those who fight against you.
He will disarm them that seek after you without cause.
Dismantling their shields and breaking their spears,
He will break the right and left hands of Pharaoh.
Who oppresses you in your own land.
His words alone will tear down the strongholds
In the battlefield of your mind.
He will not allow your foot to be moved.
He will stand on your behalf like a warrior,
Like a man of war, He guards your back against the terror by night.
He will sound the alarm and raise a war cry on your behalf.
He will strengthen you to prevail against your enemies
Like Moses at the battle of Rephidim.
When your hands grow tired,
God will set a stone and put it under you to sit on.
He will then send help to hold your hands up–
One on one side, one on the other–so that your hands remain steady till sunset.
He will cause a thousand to fall by your side and ten thousand by your right hand Like the three Hebrew boys in the furnace,
Daniel in the lions’ den
You will be without scorches and without scratches.
Therefore, believe Him when He says
“No weapon form against you shall prosper.”

Scripture Support:
Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
Isaiah 42:13 The Lord will go forth like a warrior, He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry.

  1. Just beautiful! I read it like a prayer. These are encouraging words and I needed this reminder of God’s love and care towards me today.
