Courtroom of Heaven Pt 3: The Verdict

The Judge:

It is true, these charges against you.
Every bit of it is true.
You took advantage of
New mercies each morning
And of grace is sufficient.
You took advantage!
And said “God will understand”
“God is merciful.”
Yet you read every book except the bible.
You lingered on your phone searching for love
When love has been here for you all the time.
You adulterer!

The community gave you garments of praise
To shake your heaviness and ease your pain
But you chose to wear anger and malice instead.
The word was introduced to you.
You knew the word
But you did not trust it.
You went from one vice to another;
Seeking healing in every intoxicating substances
Seeking comfort in every lustful thoughts
Seeking confidence in every comparison.
You could not sit alone to reason with God,
You called that “loneliness.”

You stole from your tithes,
Brought strife between brothers,
Sowed gossips among sisters.
You nonchalantly ignored my voice
And called it “intuition”.
You took for granted that you have
Two legs to walk into the house of worship,
So you laid in bed all day Sunday and called it “rest.”
These and many more are your crimes.

Many have sinned
And fall short of the glory of God,
But grace is still sufficient.
Yes, grace does not run out.
According to biblical law Psalm 34:17- you have the right to a defender.
According to biblical law John 3:16- you have the right to live and not die eternally.
According to biblical law Hebrew 9:22- the blood, that was already shed, has the power to cover these sins.
According to biblical law Colossians 2:14- as a result of the cross the charges against you are cancelled.

(Case Closed)

Scripture Support:
Psalm 7:11 “God is a righteous judge, and a God who feels indignation every day.”
Colossians 2:14 “By canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. Hebrews 9:22
Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins”
